Terms

Who you are agreeing with

TheTalentDesk is run by one person, Ashwani Bhat, trading under that name — there is no company. Your agreement is with him directly. Payment is a separate matter: Dodo Payments is the merchant of record, so the sale, the invoice and the tax on it are theirs, and their terms apply to the transaction alongside these.

What TheTalentDesk is

A hosted applicant tracking and review tool. You sign in to a workspace, open roles, add candidates, and record interview feedback and 30-60-90 day reviews. We run it for you; you do not host anything.

Accounts and access

Access is by invitation. An admin of a workspace decides who may join it, and one email address can belong to several workspaces with a different role in each. You are responsible for what the people you invite do with the data in your workspace.

Plans, price and renewal

Subscriptions are billed for a term and renew automatically at the end of it until you cancel. The price and the renewal interval are shown on the payment page before you pay, and again next to the renew button inside the app.

The Individual plan covers one workspace. The Teams plan covers one main workspace with ten open roles at a time, and lets you buy additional workspaces; each additional workspace has three open roles of its own. Closing a role does not delete it, and candidates already in a pipeline stay there.

Cancelling, and what happens then

Cancel at any time under Settings → Billing, which opens the billing portal run by our payment provider. No email or phone call is needed. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the term you have already paid for. Payments are not refunded — see the refund policy for what that means and the narrow cases where the law overrides it.

Nothing is deleted when a term ends. The workspace becomes read-only: everything you have added stays readable, and paying again reopens it exactly as it was. We delete a workspace only when you ask us to. There is no self-service export button today — ask and we will send you a copy of your workspace.

Trials

A trial workspace is free for the stated number of days and takes no card. Nothing is charged when it ends and there is nothing to cancel — the workspace simply becomes read-only until you choose to pay.

Your data, and candidates' data

The candidates, resumes and feedback in your workspace are yours. We process them to run the service and for no other purpose — we do not sell them, and we do not use them to train anything. Where candidates are in a jurisdiction with data protection law, you are the controller of their data and we are your processor: you are responsible for having a lawful basis to upload a resume, and for answering a candidate who asks to see or delete what you hold. We will help you do that.

What you may not do

Upload content you have no right to, use the service to break the law where you or your candidates are, attempt to reach another customer's workspace, or resell access. We may suspend a workspace that does any of these, and will tell you why.

Copyright

If something in a workspace infringes your copyright, write to us with enough detail to find it and we will act. Accounts that repeatedly infringe are closed. See the privacy page for how to reach us.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep the service running and to warn you before anything changes that would cost you work, but we do not promise it is never unavailable. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you do not agree.

Processing candidate data

If you need a processor agreement for your records — most companies do, once candidate data is involved — the Data Processing Addendum forms part of these Terms and applies automatically. Nothing to sign unless your procurement process wants a countersigned copy.

Which law applies

These Terms are governed by the law of India, and disputes go to the courts in India. If you are a consumer somewhere whose law gives you the right to bring a claim locally, that right stands — this clause does not remove it.
